LAKE FOREST – A marijuana collective today filed a lawsuit against the city and its landlord saying the city’s efforts to prohibit a legally operating dispensary violates state law.
The suit also contends that the city is forcing the landlord to act on its behalf in pursuing eviction of the dispensary.
The lawsuit – filed on behalf of Shannon Saccullo and Earth Cann Wellness Center – asks for damages and a court order requiring the city to regulate the dispensaries in compliance to state law. It comes in response to the city’s efforts to close dispensaries and the landlord’s efforts to evict Earth Cann, the center’s lawyer said.

I was wondering if someone in a mortgage company, someone in collections, a lawyer, or anyone of very good knowledge of how to handle my situation. I lost my job over a year ago, and I have just started to get back on my feet with making money. Unfortunately, I have a few credit cards that I ignored and now they have been “charged off.” Collection agencies send me 30-50% discounts of what I originally owe, while that sounds tempting…I’m wondering just how much damage that does to me in the long run, if I ever want to own a house a day in my life. I realize that negative credit goes away after 7-10 years, but what will happen if I just make the deal as opposed to paying the whole thing off. Paying the whole balance off will take a lot longer to pay off then to pay off the 30-50% deal, and will start the clock now (for the 7-10 year mark) as opposed to if I pay it all off in 2 years. What do I do!?? What will look better to future lenders? Please help!! I really want to get this in check for my future children and my future husband. This is so embarassing
It is useful to try everything in practice anyway and I like that here it’s always possible to find something new.
